Terms of Use

Last updated: 3 July 2026 · Operated by Lume Hire, based in Queensland, Australia.

1. Agreement to these terms

By using https://lumehire.com (the "Site") or submitting a quote enquiry through it, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Site.

2. Quotes and bookings

  • Submitting a form is an enquiry, not a booking. Nothing is reserved until we confirm a quote and you accept it.
  • Quotes are prepared for your specific event, date, venue, and equipment list, and are valid for the period stated on the quote.
  • Equipment hire is governed by the hire agreement supplied with your quote — including delivery, site access, power requirements, damage, and cancellation terms. If anything on this Site conflicts with your hire agreement, the hire agreement wins.
  • Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

3. Acceptable use

When using the Site or our forms, you agree not to:

  • Submit false, misleading, or automated form entries.
  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the Site.
  • Scrape or bulk-download Site content for republication or model training.
  • Use the Site for anything unlawful.

4. Intellectual property

Everything on this Site — the Lume Hire name and logos, photography, lighting and installation designs, and written content — belongs to Lume Hire or its licensors. You may share links and excerpts with attribution; you may not reproduce our content commercially or pass it off as your own without written permission.

5. Disclaimers

The Site is provided "as is". Photos show real installs, but every venue is different — final designs, quantities, and pricing are confirmed in your quote. We aim for accuracy but don't warrant that every page is error-free or that the Site will be available without interruption.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lume Hire is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the Site. Liability relating to hired equipment and event services is addressed in your hire agreement. Nothing in this section excludes rights that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any dispute falls under the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the Site evolves — the "Last updated" date above always reflects the current revision. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
