Product launches

Every launch needs a moment. Light is how you build one.

The reveal, the hero shot, the room that photographs like the campaign — launch lighting is theatre with a commercial job to do, and we design it scene by scene.

The reveal

Engineering the moment everyone's phone comes out

A product launch is built around one moment, and lighting is how that moment lands. We choreograph reveals the way theatre does: the room settles to low ambience, focus draws to the stage or plinth, and on cue the product takes full light while everything else falls away. Done well, the reveal photographs identically from every guest's phone — which is precisely the point, because those photos are the launch's first marketing asset. DMX programming makes the sequence repeatable and rehearsable rather than hopeful; we run it with your presenter before doors so the beat hits exactly when the script says it does. It's the most theatrical work in our corporate lighting range, and the most fun to build.

The hero

Your product, lit like it's worth the price tag

After the reveal, the product has to hold a room full of cameras for the rest of the night. Hero lighting is a craft of angles and restraint: clean focused light that shows true colour and finish, positioned to kill unflattering reflections on glass, metal or screens, with enough contrast against the room that the product reads instantly in every photo. We light single hero plinths, product walls and demo stations, matching colour temperature to how the product actually looks best — jewellery wants different light than a vehicle, and a beverage wants different light than software on a screen. Brand-matched colour through the wider room ties every shot back to the campaign. Send your brand guidelines through the contact page and we'll design to them, not near them.

The venue

Warehouses, rooftops and spaces without a house rig

Launches gravitate to venues with character — warehouses, rooftops, galleries, even beaches — and character venues rarely come with usable lighting infrastructure. That suits us: we bring the entire rig, from ambient layers and brand washes to the reveal programming, and we've spent ten-plus years installing in spaces that weren't designed for events. Outdoor and semi-outdoor launches across the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Byron Bay and the Northern Rivers are no problem — all our gear is IP64 weather-rated and tested and tagged, and we plan power properly including generators for raw sites. Warm festoon layers work surprisingly well at launches too, softening a technical rig into a party once the formalities land. One crew, one design, quoted within 24 hours.

Frequently asked

Yes — reveal choreography is core to launch lighting. The sequence is DMX-programmed, triggered on cue, and rehearsed with your presenter or MC before doors open.

Exactly — send brand guidelines or hex codes and every wash and accent is tuned to them. The room should photograph like the campaign, and that's the standard we set up to.

With dedicated hero fixtures angled to control reflections and show true colour and finish. Different products want different light — we test on the actual product during setup, not a stand-in.

Very — raw venues are launch territory and we bring everything, including power distribution planning and generator specs where needed. Ten years of non-venue installs means few surprises.

Focused single-room launches start around $1,500; full productions with reveal programming, hero lighting and branded ambience typically run $3,000 to $7,000. Quotes come back within 24 hours.
