Do you supply the UV artwork as well as the lights?

Yes — painted banners, reactive fabrics, string geometry and sculptural pieces come as part of the package. You can also mix in your own reactive art and we'll light it properly.

Does a UV zone work outdoors?

Beautifully, once ambient light is controlled — under stretch tents, marquees or after full dark in open air. Outdoor fixtures are IP64-rated and rigged for weather.

The medium

UV-reactive work is the great double act of event design: a space that looks like hand-painted fabric and rope in the afternoon detonates into saturated, glowing colour the moment the blacklights come up. We build complete UV environments — suspended painted banners, reactive shade sails and fabric structures, fluoro string geometry, glowing florals and sculptural pieces — lit with proper high-output UV fixtures rather than the party-shop tubes that leave art looking flat. It's a staple of festival chill zones, doof-style dance floors and themed parties across the Northern Rivers and beyond, and one of the most cost-effective ways to utterly transform a space. The craft

Real fluoro art, not just blacklight bulbs

The secret of UV work is that the fixtures are only half the equation — the art does the heavy lifting. We work with hand-painted UV banners and fabrics from artists in the festival scene, layer reactive materials at different depths so the space reads three-dimensionally, and position UV floods and cannons at the throw distances the pigments actually need. Standard lighting gets woven through as well, because a pure-blacklight room flattens out fast; a low warm glow under a canopy of glowing art gives the space depth and keeps faces human.
