Can you work from our band's tech rider?

Yes — send it through and we'll advance it properly: matching the spec where it matters, suggesting substitutions where it saves money, and flagging anything the venue can't support.

Do you handle multi-band lineups?

All the time. We build distinct palettes per act so every band gets its own look on the shared rig, and we manage changeovers so lighting is never the reason doors run late.

Can you operate the venue's existing rig?

Yes. Send the venue patch or tech specs and we'll pre-build the show for their console and fixtures, supplementing with our own gear only if the rig has real gaps.

For live music, busked — an operator riding the show in real time beats a timecoded playlist for all but the most produced sets. If you're running timecode, we do that too.

Busking a show is a musician's job on a console

Concert lighting is played, not programmed. A great operator listens like a member of the band — pulling back to a single warm spot for the acoustic bridge, snapping to strobing white on the final chorus, holding blackout that extra half-second before the encore. We busk shows live on professional consoles, with palettes and effects pre-built per act so the operator's hands are on dynamics, not menus. Our operators have run stages from sweaty club gigs to festival mains — the portfolio includes Splendour in the Grass and Beach Club Byron Bay — and that experience shows in restraint as much as spectacle. When the show also carries screens or lasers, we sync with Resolume visuals and laser systems from the same desk position.

The rig

Moving heads, wash, blinders and haze — specced per act

We spec concert rigs around the music, the stage and the budget rather than a fixed package. A folk act in a hinterland barn wants warm wash, gentle movement and zero strobes; a DJ headliner wants beams, blinders and a hazer working overtime. Typical rigs combine moving-head spots and washes, static wash for stage coverage, audience blinders, effect fixtures and atmospheric haze — all tested and tagged, all rigged from rated points by crew who hold working-at-heights tickets through our working at heights capability. We can supply the full rig or bring an operator to drive house gear at venues across the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Byron Bay and the Northern Rivers.

Concert lighting operation starts from $1,295 per show call, covering pre-production, palettes and the operator; rigs are quoted on top based on the spec. For single-band shows we keep it simple — one conversation, one quote, one crew. For multi-act events and festivals we scale through our technical production service: advancing each act's tech rider, scheduling changeovers and keeping every set looking distinct on the same rig.
