Have you worked on major Byron festivals?

Yes — our portfolio includes activations at Splendour in the Grass and ongoing work at Beach Club Byron Bay, alongside years of boutique festival and collective events across the Northern Rivers.

Can you handle remote hinterland sites?

Regularly — generator-only power, rough access tracks and wet-season ground are all familiar. Tell us about the site when you enquire and we'll plan vehicles and rigging to suit.

Do you do immersive and art-led lighting, not just stages?

That's our favourite work — UV zones, generative TouchDesigner visuals, projection-mapped structures and lit art pieces. We collaborate directly with festival art directors.

How do you manage light spill and environmental conditions?

We design to the site's approvals — shielded and directional fixtures near boundaries, dark-sky-conscious aiming, and leave-no-trace packdown as standard on rural properties.

What's the booking lead time for Byron festival season?

Spring through autumn books heavily, so eight-plus weeks out is smart for festival-scale work. Quotes come back within 24 hours year-round.

Festivals — Byron Bay

Festival lighting in Byron Bay and the hinterland

Stage rigs, immersive site lighting, lasers and projection for Byron festivals — from hinterland properties to beachside venues, by a crew that works here constantly.

Byron pedigree

Festival country is home turf

Byron and the Northern Rivers hinterland host more festivals per square kilometre than anywhere else in the country, and we've spent years working in that scene — including activations at Splendour in the Grass and ongoing production work at Beach Club Byron Bay. That history matters because Byron festivals have their own personality: audiences expect lighting that feels crafted and immersive rather than corporate, sites are often working farms or bushland with real access and environmental constraints, and the community holds events to a high standard on noise, light spill and leave-no-trace packdown. We design for all of that from the first site walk. The full festival lighting range shows what a complete site package looks like.

The Byron look

Immersive and crafted, not corporate

Byron crowds have seen everything, so hire-package lighting reads instantly as exactly that. Our festival work here leans into the immersive: warm festoon and ambient washes through camphor laurels and fig trees, UV-reactive art zones, generative visuals built in TouchDesigner that respond to the music, and projection mapped onto barns, silos and stretch tents. We work closely with festival art directors and collectives — our roots run through The Boogie Collective and Immersive Structures A/V — so we speak the language of creative briefs, not just fixture counts. When the brief calls for a genuine art piece rather than a lighting rig, our creative installations team takes over. For the airspace moment, there's festival laser hire too.

Northern Rivers logistics

Local crew, wet-season sense, honest quotes

Working the Northern Rivers means respecting its conditions. Hinterland festival sites around Yelgun, Main Arm, Bangalow and the Tweed Valley can turn boggy fast in the wet season, access tracks limit vehicle sizes, and some sites run entirely off generators. We plan for all of it — IP64-rated gear, tested and tagged, rigging engineered for exposed ridge-line wind, and bump-in schedules with weather contingency built in rather than bolted on. Because we're based between the Gold Coast and Byron, site visits are quick to arrange and there's no long-haul travel loading on your quote. Send your site details through the contact page and you'll have a design and firm price within 24 hours — or browse our event services for smaller Byron events.
