Lighting a paddock into a festival site

Most Northern Rivers festivals start as a paddock, and the lighting plan is what turns it into a place. We design the whole site: warm festoon over bars, food rows and chill-out zones, tower lighting on the main routes so crowds move safely after dark, UV and colour on art installations, and stage rigs with moving heads and full DMX operation for the music itself. Feature moments — lasers over the crowd, projection on a silo or scaffold wall — are what the region's audiences have come to expect, and we build them in from the start rather than bolting them on. Every fixture is IP-rated, tested and tagged, and rigged to keep running when the weather rolls in off the ranges, because up here it will.

We scout greenfield sites before quoting, coordinate with your staging, power and site crews on the build schedule, and stay across the bump-in so lighting lands at the right moment. Compliance paperwork comes standard: test-and-tag certificates, insurance and rigging plans formatted for council and safety-officer sign-off. For multi-day events we run daily pre-show checks and overnight lockdown.
