How much does tree lighting hire cost?

Tree lighting starts from $725 per tree including delivery, installation and packdown. Larger trees or denser canopy coverage cost more — send us a photo of your tree and we'll quote it accurately within 24 hours.

Will the lights damage the tree?

No. We wrap strands loosely, never screw or nail into the trunk, and remove everything at packdown. Protecting the tree is part of the job — many of our venue partners have us back to the same trees year after year.

Can the lights stay up in rain?

Yes — all our tree lighting is IP65 waterproof rated and tested and tagged, so weather isn't an issue for the gear. If severe weather is forecast for install day, we'll work with you on timing.

How many trees can you light?

As many as your site and budget call for — from a single ceremony fig to a whole driveway avenue. Multi-tree installs are priced as a package, so lighting several trees costs less per tree.

Will installation damage the trees?

No, we use arborist-approved techniques that protect the tree's health.

Tree Lighting

Turn the trees at your venue into the venue

Fairy-lit canopies, wrapped trunks and uplit figs that turn gardens and paddocks into glowing outdoor rooms. Installed safely by our crew, packed down after.

The effect

Nature's architecture, professionally lit

A mature fig or camphor laurel with its canopy lit from within does more for an outdoor event than almost any structure you could hire. We wrap trunks and branches in warm-white fairy light, thread strands through the canopy, and add ground-level uplighting to pull the whole tree out of the darkness. The result is an instant focal point — a ceremony backdrop, a natural marquee over cocktail hour, or a glowing landmark that guides guests through a garden venue at night. Tree lighting works beautifully on its own or alongside festoon runs strung between the same trees, creating layered depth across your whole site.

Done safely

Rigged by people who climb trees for a living

Lighting a tree properly means working at height, protecting the tree, and running power safely across an outdoor site — three things we've been doing for over ten years. Our crew wraps and rigs without damaging bark or branches, all strands are IP65 waterproof and tested and tagged, and cabling is routed and secured so guests never trip on it. Tree lighting hire starts from $725 per tree including delivery, install and packdown, with pricing scaling by tree size and how densely you want the canopy lit. It's a favourite for hinterland and garden weddings — see the full outdoor look on our wedding lighting page.

Where

Garden and hinterland venues across our region

From Gold Coast hinterland estates to Byron Bay farm venues, Brisbane garden ceremonies and Northern Rivers acreage properties, we light trees across the whole region. Every site is different — species, canopy height, distance to power — so we quote from photos of your actual trees, or drop by for a quick site visit if the install is a big one. You'll have a firm quote within 24 hours either way. If you're building a full outdoor lighting plan, tree lighting stacks well with string lighting and ground-level uplighting; tell us about your site through our contact page and we'll design the lot as one package.
